Hon. Babajide is serving as the current member representing Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency in the 10th House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was elected during the 2024 bye-election for the replacement of Hon. Tunji-Ojo newly appointed as Minister of Interior in the President Tinubu lead Executive Carbinet.
